Superpowers

I remember the days when we played for hours
When we were young, we thought we had superpowers.

We climbed the trees, with our pichkari gun,
Shot every passer by, we always won.

We had our cycles and we rode them all day
Did all the stunts, although we'd fall each day.

A footbal or a cricket bat was all we needed for the summers.
Tie the ball in a sock, increase the stroke for endless hours.

Jump in the puddles, run in the rain
have the dirtiest clothes: no regrets, no shame.

Throw some talc on the floor, and wow we could slide
Stand infront of the fan, and we could fly and glide.

I remember the days when we played for hours
When we were young, we really had Superpowers.
